My wife and I had a 92 Saturn for sale. We parked it on the street in front of our house with For Sale signs in the windows. After a few days, guy made me a low ball offer and I declined. The next night the car was stolen. I don't think there is a connection, but who knows. We had minimal insurance on the car, meaning no theft coverage. We figured the car was gone. Today, I was watching the Diamondbacks game when my cell phone rang. This guy named Jack said that the car had been in front of his house for a couple of weeks. He had called the cops, but had gotten my number off the For Sale signs and wanted to let me know where it was located. I got to the car before the police arrived. The ignition switch was busted, but no other damage. Jack came out of his house and we chatted about the car. He made me an offer for the car. His offer was a little low, but I was happy to be done with this car. (This was the 3rd time it was stolen and recovered!) I drove home, got the title and drove back to the Saturn. The PD was there clearing the car out of their computer system. I finished up with the officer and went to find Jack. He handed me the cash for the car and I signed the title. Yoohoo. I am glad to be done with that vehicle!
